doll news

I have just sent my ebony (customising disaster) off to Sue from Melbourne for a rescue remedy! As I said below I have always wanted a silver saran blythe, so that's what miss ebony will become! And hopefully adopt a new name too.. :) She is getting a make-over while she's there, including some eye chips and new make-up .. Thanks Sue!

My other exciting doll news includes just ordering my first bjd .. in the form of a puki pipi.
They are very cute, here is wedgeh's puki pipi on the left and a new blue wig I have ordered from MiyukiDollfie on the right.

my valentines girl

my customising disaster

I recently started my first blythe custom .. and it was a traumatic experience! please remind me to never open the head of a blythe ever again! I will just stick to sandmatting and changing the eyechips from the outside from now on.

I opened an RBL head and then found out how hard it is to paint the makeup without streaks, then as I was trying to put the eyemech back in some of the eyelid paint scratched off and I had to start over. When that was done I had to figure out how to put the eye mech back together and the eye's not change!
I searched around on the forums to see what the problem was .. apparently it's really common with RBL's which I didn't know beforehand.. I had everything in place just had to loosen the T bar the tiniest bit .. it still isn't working easily though and the eyes look like they are facing down now .. :( After finally getting it all back together I noticed the black I had painted for the pupils on the eyechips has come off with the glue so I still have to redo the eyechips again .. using the hot glue stick method this time and not opening the head again!

So in summary, I really don't think customising is for me, I didn't enjoy any of the process like I thought I would.

Here is poor Ebony .. still an unfinished custom..

I absolutely adore the little clothes that Isa makes from crafting with love, my dollies really love her style! Here you can see Madina, Kitami and Dottie in their matching crafting dresses .. :) ..

I also bought this set from her last night for my *future* lati. And I just ordered this wig from MiyukiDollfie for my *future* puki pipi! Getting a bit ahead of myself here arn't I, but atleast they will be well dressed on arrival. :)
